Meet Your Host: Coach Gary Green (WR's)

Gary Green aka Coach G likes to look at himself as a Louisiana and North Carolina Native, He attended Brother Martin High school in New Orleans, La where he primarily starred as a Defensive Back. Green then transferred to South View High School in Fayetteville, Nc where he began his career and fell in love with the Wide Receiver position. He continued his football career at City College of San Francisco a California junior college, and after two years he would transfer to Western Carolina University where he exceled playing Wide Receiver and graduated with a Bachelor of science in Entrepreneurship and small business. Green was often looked as a player/coach for the way he would recruit and develop and teach the younger wide receivers at WCU the offense and techniques to be successful at the position.

After Graduating college Green took a short time away from the game of football and worked in the real estate property investment industry, sales industry and other business ventures in Atlanta, Ga. Green began to coach little league football at the 8-year-old level. He found his true calling of Coaching, mentoring, and Developing not only athletes but young people to become the best they can be through hard work, dedication, and sacrifice to accomplish their goals. He would relocate to Charlotte, Nc for work in 2016, and this is where he began coaching and developing on the youth and high school levels. Green would go on to coach at South View High school, and Mallard Creek high school in charlotte, NC where he developed some of the best wide receivers in the state. As well has teaching, implementing and developing new schemes for the offensive to go along with the system the team was already running during his tenure. Green will serve under Head Coach Chad Grier at Providence Day high school as the program’s Wide receiver coach and developer for 2023.

Green started Competitors Only Sports LLC a skills Development company that offers programs for all athletes. With a focus to develop not only wide receivers but any athlete who had the passion to get better and the will to compete against our worst enemy, OURSELVES. He has clients all over the Carolinas ranging from 8 years old up to professional level athletes. In multiple sports, soccer, football etc Green considers himself blessed by Having multiple players receive scholarship offers from all college levels and go on to have players play in Acc, Socon, sec, Ciaa, Meac, Big 12, Big south and more conferences. He says this is a true testament to the work and dedication the kids have put in over the years to gain notoriety and opportunities to continue to play at a high level.
